Je reviens aujourd'hui encore pour vous parler musique
Aujourd'hui est sorti le nouvel album de Bon Iver, 22 A million alors en tant que grande fan de son (ancien) travail, évidemment j'ai tout de suite écouté.
Les fans de Bon Iver ont du attendre 5 ans avant d'entendre de nouveaux titres de l'incroyable Justin Vernon et ce serait vous mentir si je disais que je ne suis pas déçue. Bon Iver avait dévoilé quelques extraits il y a déjà quelque semaines et j'étais restée devant mon écran dans l'incompréhension la plus totale.
Bon déjà, au niveau des titres des chansons, on voit qu'il s'est passé quelque chose d'assez étrange, mais à l'écoute c'est vraiment perturbant pour moi.
En écoutant les premiers titres, nombreux sont les effets de voix, mais surtout on peut voir que l'on est surtout face à énormément d'experiences sonores dans un univers très (trop) synthétique et nous voila très très lion du bon folk-rock qui me faisait tant aimer Bon Iver. Il se retrouve à jouer avec énormément de sons, jusqu'à manipuler le bruit du branchement-débranchement, ce qui donne un rendu assez déstabilisant et gênant pour mes écoutilles. J'ai beau essayer de m'auto-convaincre, je n'accroché décidément pas à ce changement de cap.
Certes la mélancolie qui le définit est quant à elle toujours bien présente, mais personnellement, je me suis retrouvée à m'ennuyer terriblement et à couper le son, malheureusement.
L'autre matin, je recevais une notification m'alertant que Bon Iver revenait (enfin!!) à Paris en concert, comme un petite puce je sautais partout prête à sortir ma carte bleue, mais là, que vois-je? Qu'il se produit oui, mais au Zénith de Paris. Fini le temps où il jouait dans une petit salle chaleureuse avec son doux folk inimitable.
Ce fut donc ma première grande deception, mais après l'écoute de l'album, je peux vous annoncer que je n'irai pas le voir, à ma grande tristesse.
J'ai toujours eu du mal avec les changements d'univers de groupes que j'aime tout particulièrement mais je finis en général par m'y faire, comme par exemple avec Mumford & Sons avec lesquels j'étais un peu fâchée quelques semaines mais qui ont sû reconquérir mon coeur et livrer une prestation incroyable live. Mais je ne pense sincèrement pas revenir vers ce nouvel album, désolée Justin.
Je ne sais pas si vous étiez ou êtes toujours fan de Bon Iver, dans ce cas dîtes-moi ce que vous en pensez!

The new album from Bon Iver, 22 A million, came out today (finally) and as a big fan that I used to be, I immediately ran to listen to it. Bon Iver's fans were waiting since 5 years for new songs from the amazing Justin Vernon and I'd be lying to you if I told you I'm not disappointed. I definitely am.
A few weeks ago, Bon Iver unveiled a few tracks to come and I stayed in front of my screen with a huge lack of understanding.
Firstable, when you read the tracks titles you understand something weird happened in this guy's head, at least it seems like he had a lot of fun to do it. But when I started to listen to those songs, it was really disturbing. We have plentiful songs with voice effects but first and foremost we can hear enormously sound trials in a very (too) synthetic way, we are so far away from the old and soft folk-rock we were used to hear.
Okay Bon Iver's famous melancholy is still there, but honestly I found myself getting frighteningly bored and I just cut the sound, sadly.
The other morning, I did receive a notification on my phone telling me Bon Iver was coming (yeahhh) to Paris and I just felt so amazing for a few seconds, so happy to finally see him live and looking forward to know in which cute place he was going to sing. But then, what did I read? Yes he's coming but at Le Zénith, such a huge place. Over is the time when he used to play in a tiny welcoming place his lovely inimitable soft folk. This was my first disillusion, and now I can really tell after I listened to the album, I won't be there, and this is such a shame!
I always had trouble to get accustomed to bands' universe changes but I usually do, my best exemple is Mumford&Sons. I was a bit upset a few weeks after their last album, but they knew how to recapture my love and they did an amazing live performance. But I honestly don't think I will listen again to 22 A million, sorry Justin.
